Hello everyone! Today's devlog isn't a big update or even a small one, it's mostly news about the game's progress.
So, it has been four month since the last post. Do we have any new progress? Yes. Do we want to show it to you? Absolutely. But, sadly, I cant show you anything at the moment, because I am still adding some new stuff before I can release it as a big page update or something.
Lets get to the point.
New Engine
First of all, we've moved to a new engine! That's right, I'm not a Clickteam Fusion developer from now on. Now, our game is going to be made on Godot!
Now, the thing is, I've been trying to move to Godot for a while now, but always have quit when I've got to coding. But, thanks to @DD_OneZero
for making simple movement and attacking in Godot specifically for RotW, I've got some inspiration and somehow remade the old game on the new engine.
Although, some things are missing at the moment: different characters, dialog choices and... okay that's kinda it, but that's still a lot!
Sprites
As I mentioned earlier, I don't want to spoil yet anything about the big post I'm planning to do, but at least I can show you some sprites!
DD sprite redesign

The old one looked stupid so I thought he needed some clothes. Although I'm not quite sure about the outline color yet, I might change it back to black later
That weirdo

This is the one you've seen when you noticed this post. This is a living birch, yes, and it is going to be the first NPC you meet in the Green Valley! The background, although, is just a quick thing I've did in aseprite, this is not implemented in the game yet because we still don't have much from the CTF game done.
Valley Mimic

This is a cutie pie friendly animal that you will see in the Green Valley. And yes they do drop actives (in-game currency), so therefore you can just kill these poor guys for money.
Valley Monster

I... I honestly don't know what this is, but this thing is going to be aggressive.
