Scrapped Concept: Fredbear's Singing Show

Hey, everyone.
I wanted to start a potential devlog series where I talk about any scrapped game concepts of mine, which are either relatively interesting or had some level of progress done.

Before that, here are today's members who placed charged stickers as of late:

Haven't done this in a while, but placing charged stickers will get you a place at the top of the devlogs! Feel free to place them.

Fredbear's Singing Show was going to be a somewhat standard Fredbear fangame, except the twist was every animatronic was a Mimic endoskeleton that prior to the Edwin story, they all shared the same programming that made them act out against the staff on rare occasions.

Afton would've been naive, but smart about handling them. Instead of being the typical murderer in most iterations fans take on him, he would have been in support of the Mimic technology, until he is too late to save someone that goes into the basement and lost their life to the original Mimic. This person would've gone on to possess a Chica mascot costume nearby, becoming the only possessed character in the game.

Chica was my favourite in the whole game, requiring the use of paranormal equipment to figure out where she's hiding during later nights.

The Mimic looked a lot like how the original Pizzaplex story 'The Mimic' described it. Fazbear cannibalised the endo, making the arms supposedly immovable and yet it manages somehow. In the end, the Mimic would've been destroyed with only Chica being taken out of the building.

After beating the game, you would've gotten a challenges menu instead of a custom night because those have become really stale in my opinion. There would've been about 15-ish rewards, some were cheats to use in a designated free-play mode which would've utilised a debug menu of sorts, like the Smash Bros. training mode.

Some challenges post-game were:
Three Random Nights, a parody of how YouTubers do a '3 random games' series with someone random added every night.

Mimics, which involved Fredbear and Bonnie copying the mechanics of everyone else in a higher aggressiveness.

Night of the Rabbit, a separate mode from the office segment, where you would be someone sneaking into the establishment and having to steal items while avoiding BudRabbit, who was a plush doll character. This would have taken place sometime before the events of the main game.

One Life, which would've been the final challenge that was essentially Minecraft Hardcore with you playing every night without dying once, or you'd have to start from the beginning. The catch was each night got more difficult than the regular game every hour, as well as even adding a new character early.

I feel like custom night has become something too predictable in fangames and only used to play the highest difficulty exclusively, so it felt prudent to shake up the mix for once. Making the final challenge something that feels final instead of just "everyone at once instantly" with no build-up is not that exciting.

Only the office scrolling was done.

This was going to be similar to TMD in how it was a test game for new ideas, but some of those will probably be translated over to other games I'm helping with, like Bunny Man.

That about does it for today, see you all soon!
