What happened?


Because I wanna talk old and new stuff here, expect the format of "let's talk about old stuff before this game" and "let's talk about the new stuff in this game."

Sequels to Jonathan's Adventure? Really?

Yeah, for these good ol' devs who are probably reading this, never plan too many games in a franchise, because you'll just bloat yourself with too much expectation. Just work on the game one by one, and do the sequels later. So anyway, what were the sequels before the game got cancelled.

Yuki's Adventure!

Ayup. Yuki's Adventure. Yuki Kazuo gets to star in her own game. Now, this idea was more or less based off of events within my Jonathan's Adventure story, in which at one point, Imasu would remember the past regarding him, his sister, and Jessie Greenberg. Now, the game would be more or less a prequel, considering that Jessie would use the old original design of Jessie (I don't know why Jessie has been removed off of Luigikaboy's toyhouse and if it's the fucking "X has ruined this character" reason, then it's not a good reason to not use them.) and would show a bridge between how Jessie from this time is now this Jessie in Jonathan's Adventure (Which, yes, Jessie was originally going to be an extra boss in the game but it's not gonna be used in the game, mainly because I have no idea on how to fit this game's theme right now.) and would use literally Dr. K from Changed (Yes. I tend to reference Changed, but that's literally the minority compared to what I'm planning at the moment.) as arguably the final boss, because the game was like "OK, you're in Point A, now get to Point B" which is a lot different from the original story in which it's merely you visit places and fight a boss. But one problem, and this is gonna be a major thing, was that it needed gameplay features that are better than Jonathan's Adventure or make it different so it's not a 1-on-1 copy of the game. And unlike the rest of the games in here, there's actual evidence of this. It's this image.

I have no regrets about making this image, purely because it's a joke.

The cast of the game was utlimately Imasu Kazuo, Yuki Kazuo, Jessie Greenberg, and Oranitsune, and Oranitsune is arguably my least favorite out of all JA games so far because he mainly lacks any design you can interpret his personality with. It was abandoned mainly to focus on Jonathan's Adventure.

Jonathan's Adventure 2

Hooray! A sequel game that was more or less like Sonic Adventure 2 (Which I actually played mainly on my Xbox 360.)! Now, this was the first JA game to explore the gameplay feature of having the ability to play two sides of the story (Which Ultimate Jonathan's Adventure, where you say stole or "took inspiration," from. Except you don't have fucking Joey in it and isn't just 6 party members.) and then eventually the final chapter in which you have to kill god and would've have two endings, the true ending and bad ending, depending on how many guardians from that god you killed. Kill most or all of them and you get the true ending, if you don't, you get the bad ending, which ultimately sounds like Snow Queen route from Revelations: Persona, except instead of collecting shards of a mirror so that the Queen can see her image, Jonathan is ultimately killing a person who turned into godhood from the other side of the story. Which arguably sounds like most of the Persona games and the entirety of mainline SMT games (Except for If.). And it suffers the same fate of Yuki's Adventure, but only this time; it's abandoned because the game was cancelled. Albeit, it's spirit isn't, because there's going to be another game that has this same synopsis, but it's not the sequel for this game.

Present Day JA

Basically, I made some events in which you can interact within the third dungeon, in which you can read files regarding some characters. Also the demo has been updated which fixes the missing Sasara lines and updates the switches to that way you can finally get the trophies in the game, so that's good. Also currently planning to make the same achievements you gained from the original JA demo be earned easily via a common event in which you can access via the machine next to the Chi-Chi Neez Restaurant.
