Second Devlog: I Can move things!

Hey!

Now the project looks a little like a game. I put some tiles to the environment and an inanimate sprite to the character so, ¡goodbye my beloved squared sprites!

Now the player has proper collisions with walls and objects, plus, the player can move some of the objects at the desired direction. There’s some trouble with the input but I think I did it pretty well, at least, the computer doesn’t freeze.

So, next to do, I want to put some doors but I haven’t decided how the player will open it. You know, ¿press a key or when the player hits a door the door opens? I don’t know. I like the button approach. At this moment the player have a button for each direction, and a button to move things. Maybe is better to put an action button and then the pause button.

I’m trying to do something playable for next week, something with doors, one or two keys and some movable things, like an “Alpha 1” to see if it’s stable. But I’m kinda busy and maybe this alpha has no sense. I don’t know, we are going to see next week.

Hope all of you have a good day.

PD.: There's a gif with bad quality. I've tried all the settings with “Shotcut” but I couldn’t make a better looking gif.

Just as Pecaminosa's musicians #improvise this rendition of #LittleSunflower 🌻, so do we improvise with this post you're reading. 😂

What's coming out of your own improvs? 🤔

art comission.

Been working lately on lots of 'behind-the-scenes' boring stuff that no one really cares about, so here’s a guy playing the sax for some reason.
