Em Zombies O Começo da Escuridão, os inimigos são atraídos por barulho, alguns pontos dos mapas podem ter spawns de inimigos por barulho dos tiros. Usando uma arma silenciosa eles não aparecem novamente. Durante a noite no jogo as coisas ficam complicadas caso você decida usar armas de fogo sem silenciador. Mas quem disse que é fácil arrumar um silenciador?
