SGA Nomination, Trailer and Balance changes!


Hi everyone!

No more than a week back Dead Shark Misadventures got nominated in the Best Execution in Narrative cathegory in the Swedish Game Awards! The SGA is Swedens largest game development competition for students, and the nomination made me extremely happy! :D

To celebrate, I created a new trailer for DSM and made some balance changes to the game! If you were stuck on a difficult monster you can now redownload the game and simply move your save files to the new folder (same directory as before) and continue to play! The save files are located in the root and are named Save01, Save02 etc.

Updated the chest in the maze, adding sound, particles and better animation. But what's in the chest?

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)

Back in my art school days I used to ride the 710 COPSA line from Parque Del Plata to Montevideo almost everyday. This is the Marcopolo Viaggio G4 Mercedes Benz model from the late 80s, one of the older bus models that was running on the line.
