I don't really know where I was going with this. Was a random idea I thought of last night, got this done in only like 3-4 hours [heh that collab helped me get faster I guess].

Basically Mal's kinda explaining she wasn't ok before the apocalypse happened in her world. Probably had some type of eating disorder or something when she was younger, probably had some other kind of condition too. Made her more vulnerable to the infection.

I was going to draw some more flashbacks as to her getting the infection but I changed the text so it didn't really make sense anyway. This comic probably happened before she met Flesh [Kat when the heck are you going to draw them?] So she's probably just "surviving" on her own and this just showcases the first time the infection takes over her brain.

The effect in the background of the last 3 panels is kinda of what she feels before the infection takes over. It'd probably be more of a fuzzy feeling [I mean, hence the spiral eye], but her vision goes purple [basically her blacking out but her body becomes mindless] until the infection goes back to a normal state.
