I've been making pretty slow progress with the game for a while, as I've been unsure what I've really wanted to do with it for some time now, but recently, development has sped up and I think I've finally got a good plan for the game in my head.
(Btw the name isn't final)
First of all, there is NO planned story/lore. It's a tech demo that I'm using to learn GameMaker, and considering how bare bones it is I think adding in lore would be unnecessary. I could add in something at the start of the game like "I woke up here, I guess I need to survive until 6 AM", but that'd be it, no greater narrative.
Now let's move on to progress on the game. These past few days have been probably the most productive in all of the game's development, and I'm really happy with what I've achieved thus far.
Perhaps the biggest thing was finally learning how to code movement opportunities, and I've already implemented the movement one of 3-4 characters. All they need now is code for their jumpscare.
With the implementation of this character has also come a new, more fleshed-out building layout. with around 8-9 rooms planned. I'd showcase them on the page, but they are all currently crude, ms paint-esque PNGs which I feel aren't really worth displaying in their current states.
One last thing I want to talk about is the aesthetic of the game. As you've probably noticed, the game is very blue, hence the name and visuals. This has been something I've been doing subconsciously since the start as I felt it'd be easier for me to polish the visuals for the game with a very limited color pallette, so all you'll be seeing color-wise is whites and varying shades of blue. It's just easier on the eyes if you ask me.

Very early screenshots, you can see here more what I was going for with the theme.
And that's pretty much it, apologies for dumping so much information into this article but I said what I thought needed to be said. All that's really left to add is the code fir the time, other character's AI and lots of visuals and SFX.
TLDR: There's no lore, I've learnt how to translate FNAF 1 code to GameMaker, one character's movement AI has been mostly implemented, I've made a ton of progress this weekend and the game will be entirely blue.
