Small things make the difference

Upon original release of Asteroid Escape, it was very barebones, and lacked a lot of features such as powerups. This is mainly becuase I was in a bit of rush to push it out before I head out for vacation.

But back to the topic, 20 minutes spent fixing up somethings and addind some very small things like a scrolling background made a huge difference in the overall quality of the game.

While yes a background may seem a big change by how much of the screen it affects, but as far as code goes, I have spent 10X as much code on way less noticable things, and that is usually the way of things sadly….

So, moral of the story, take into account all of the little things that seem very inconsequential (no idea how to spell), but added up (or even on their own) they make all the difference.

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!
