As I said in the post where told about Mario.gbc's development process (https://gamejolt.com/p/sorry-for-the-long-wait-guys-here-s-the-story-of-development-of-mar-cat8sqti), the game started development because I had a question: is it possible to make a Mario.exe retake on Gameboy Color? And now we have Mario.gbc Ultimate Deluxe World 2 demo, which is, as I think, better than original Mario.exe in some ways, but however, I never tested it on real hardware. And today, I got the answer to my question.
So, is it possible to make a good Mario horror game on Gameboy Color?
YES! FUCKING YES!
Mario.gbc was running on my Gameboy Advance on the same speed as on the emulator, with nice quality of sound effects and Mario.gbc's voice that was given to him by the one and only @KarlsonGames (thank ya alot man, again). Ye, it had some difficulty in beating this due to my GBA having no backlight on screen, and I realised some things that should be fixed later, but it was still working great.
And that shows that it's possible to make actually good Gameboy Color games that will be running on the real hardware, and limitations won't limit you too much if you really wanna have success. Amalgamated Team will be working on more Gameboy Color games in the next years, and we'll make anything we can to make them playable on the real hardware with comfort!
So, stay tuned guys, wish you a nice day, goodnight
