Hey, everyone! It’s me, MHT, and I have one thing to say: I’m absolutely SICK of waiting for a programmer of any sorts to apply, and for the programmers we have to do something, so I’m going to begin learning to program, myself. It’s a bold statement, and there will likely be many obstacles with me being the one behind it all, but it’s certainly better than absolutely nothing. Here I will go over the pros and cons to me programming for this and likely the other DT projects.
Pros:
No more waiting around, and due to that, we can make some actual progress.
I’d be able to make it just how I envision it, and that is likely a good thing.
Personally, it would benefit me to learn a new skill. I’ve written and sprited, and would like to get into some sort of programming.
Even if I get stuck on something, I can get help from the one active dev who is also a programmer, but doesn’t have the software to program with.
Lastly, I can make Renée dab (jk i won’t)
Cons:
Lots and LOTS of bugs, quite likely.
If I get stuck and I don’t have life alert, I can’t call for help! For real, though, I’d have to wait for someone to actually respond (like I am as I’m writing this…).
I’ve never programmed before in my life other than some weird children’s introduction into programming when I was in my earlier years of high school.
A week or two ago, I didn’t even know that null and zero were two different things. ‘-‘
It’s a tough responsibility to take, but if I want any of these games to take off, I guess I’ll just have to make it happen myself. As many say: “If you want something done [right], then you gotta do it yourself.” It’s been and will continue to be a rough journey, but that’s okay. I just wanna finish this shiz and be done with it. Thank you for following the development of Demolitale and its sibling titles; I will see you in the next devlog.
