so the variety was very limited and lacking so I really just want to start fresh with a new dave and bambi mod (its probably going to be called Cobalt Edition I may repurpose a lot of assets/scrapped features from crimson v1) (more on that later)

I know it's late, but V1.2 is released now, this update finally fixes the alpha error, and I've went ahead to make many other adjustments to the game too. This should be the final update before V2, unless there are bugs, alright see you in V2!
