Hi everyone.
I know that there is a lot of confusion on what happened to this game, and for a good reason, since we kept everything obscured for all of this time.
I originally didn't want to reveal what happened in a normal post like this, so I told people to wait for the eventual reveal and left it at that.
I thought of making this reveal close to the third year anniversary of the game development in late may, but the both of us haven't been able to keep working and had to take a bit of a break, which is still ongoing, so I am making the announcement now to let people get on our same page before we come back to work.
With that said, what the fuck happened?
Well, after a lot of discussing around and heated debates, us developers @gigio2025 and @skydrake_ have decided to go original.
That means that we are going to officially dissociate ourselves from the Fnaf Ultimate Edition series by @Stefan25897
I know I said this would never happen, but Sky made me recognise that the project could benefit a lot by making some more creative liberties and by just being its own thing instead of having to rely on a pre-existing legacy, which the project started to go off it's rails for already a long time now.
In the end we became way more committed in making a fun and scary product that doing a remake, and even after all of my insistence of keeping the UE title, I recognise that it's for the best if we actually take the step I was always so afraid to make.
I really also really need to address that my intention originally were and always remained for all of this time to do a remake, I did not have any kind of opportunistic intent in wanting to release my project under an already existing series like I have been thought of having.
I will admit that maybe I might not have wanted to go original because I was afraid that taking away the UE marking from the game would cause people to just like it less, but I want to assure you this is just because I am a very insecure person by nature, and presenting something as an original piece scares me a lot more that just using something else as a foundation.
At the end of the day, we are taking a break to better prepare for this rebranding, we have a lot of personal problems to resolve before we come back to work but we also need to better set the foundation for this new fangame.
In the meantime we'll do other, less commanding things, so that we can work on our outside lives too.
We'll make our big comeback when everything is ready for it.
You can ask me any question you might have in the comments, I know this is a huge pill to swallow and some of you might even be completely turned off by it, so please give me and this project a chance.
