I didn't mention this in my previous update but the 5th zone, Ample Aqua Zone, will be playable, bumping the demo's zone count to four.
I've also just recently decided to disable the single-colour-tile-behind-the-ring thing and instead have the ring sprites on the "front layer," i.e. the tiles that overlap the sprites like the water in Contrast Coast Zone Act 2 (or for comparison to an official game, Aqua Lake Zone from Sonic 2 SMS).
I've now added the 8-pixel-wide column on the left side of the screen that the SMS Sonic games had.
Finishing a special stage with the emerald will give you a "You can now summon xxxxxx moon" screen. Currently this will only occur for Moon and Mercury since the others aren't available yet.
You now can't jump on a boss if it's flashing.
One method I've tried of increasing the challenge MMZ's boss is to add bounceable barriers surrounding the water pit. You may also noticed that I've reduced the colouring on Robotnik.
