As you can see, cutting a target with the blade perpendicular to the targets’ surface is considered a high quality cut:
While cutting from a different angle is considered a low quality cut:
More cut-quality-determining factors are the velocity at which the blade is moving and its’ edge alignment.

Another house i made long time ago.
