Some news on the Reset Build Patch 1

Hey, all! Got a bit of news regarding the much needed patch for the Reset Build that is currently in the works.

So for starters, I think I found a fix for the spawning issue. The only downside (if you could call it one) is that the battles won’t just pop up at random anymore… it’ll actually be triggered by a soon-to-be-roaming entity that I might just leave visible for reasons. Still need to test it in motion, but this should be working by the time the patch is ready to go.

After the next few days of dealing with some IRL things (namely helping a relative get stuff packed for a move), I’ll also be attempting to put in a few features that I intended the Reset Build to have, but were cut at the last minute due to time.

Until then, I thank you all for your patience and feedback. It’s very much appreciated!

Till’ next time!

UPDATE (1/24/19)
As a quick note on progress, the battle system does indeed work (after needing a bunch of tweaks when character and enemy values got a bit mixed up). Also fixed the save function so it’ll remember zone unlocks and collected tokens.

And most importantly, Freddy can now collect experience and level up. Gonna be working on that for the rest of the starter party.

So, Plan B: The remainder of tonight will run V1 of a solo OCN mode, with an updated version coming tomorrow during the end of the con.

(And a further refined public release of this later on. If there's interest.)

Version 1.2.0 is here!

Save file stuff (sidequests, maps and "autosaving") might currently be a troublesome mess, but at least development on OCN is going pretty smooth.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

How about we change things up?

New project is having a fun, early outing.

Still have to address a few tweaks to layering and test some other sidequests, but I think that we're back on track again.

Turns out what the game actually needed was for me to take a proper break from development and enough time to realize what I had broken.

(It was the values tied to IDing what foe it'd be.)

It'll likely need more testing, but we're back in buisiness!

Not quite the fix I've been talking about for the past few weeks, but it's at least progress.

First signs of danger.
