The training screen and status screen are now separate, and I've completely reprogrammed both.

The characters can finally run with proper animation after 5 years of existence.
It would have taken less time for a baby to grow up and learn to run for real than it did for them to get running charsets.

I've never made an NPC in the whole game, the maps are empty at the moment, now there's some life ^^.

The skill learning screen is finished.
At the start of the game, the player has 5 skills to learn per character on this screen. Additional skills can be unlocked by purchasing skill "effects" from the in-game stores.
For example, Recursion is an effect that launches the skill twice. When you buy it, it unlocks the possibility to buy all skills that launch an attack twice in a row.
I haven't worked out the cost of all the skills yet, but you can buy them with your character's experience.
