Spawn System Overhaul!

The update has finally arrived guys! However there IS good news and bad news. I have been really busy with school and band this past week and did not really get to work on this project. Though I did get to redo the spawn system so it isn’t so arbitray and boring as before, and add two new enemy types, I did not have enough time to code a TRUE endless gamemode if I was to make the deadline I made last week.

What do I mean by “TRUE” endless gamemode? The endless gamemode I have envisioned for this project has the waves progressively becoming more difficult as the player completes wave after wave. Currently there are predefined waves and predefined formations in those waves. These waves, instead of being ordered in such a way that the player encounters them based on what I have declared as their difficulty, they are simply spawned at random.

So, in short, I have coded two new enemies and an endless gamemode. But, is it TRULY endless? Not exactly. Hopefully I can get that done soon. I am not sure of the exact date of the update because of school and band but I do plan on getting that done eventually. Enjoy the new spawn system and enemies, everyone!

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!
