Finished #squidgameseason3 and it had a lot going for it. I’ve seen all 3 seasons and enjoyed it. It was dark, thought provoking, violent, had amazing set design, and season 3 is the bleakest season of the show with a great ending. Had me in tears and at the edge of my seat. This season I think they went all out.
I tried to watch the series when it first blew up (was 16 at the time season 1 came out) but Mom stopped me which is understandable given what’s in the show. I went and watched the show recently for real this time, as a 20 year old, the satute of limitations must be up on this. I watched the first 2 seasons twice and enjoyed the series. The first time was to get into the show and the second was to hype myself up for season 3 which I saw as the make or break moment for the show. Needless to say, Season 3 delivered.
Best show I’m never watching again. Because the final season was so intense in story, tone, and characters. Netflix is also in talks with David Fincher to produce an American version of Squid Game. (Wikipedia was my source, don’t at me, I know it’s unreliable.) Not looking forward to this Americanized Squid Game because we already have the real Squid Game with English subtitles, English dub, and it’s an international success. Redundant to do something again when we already have something that has that ground covered. Bit sad to show up to the Squid Game party so late.
