started this project on new years eve, took a long break from it, it's been a rough year, but now i'm back

initially it was gonna be a walking sim mystery type game, but one day i went like:

"what if i gave her a sword"

so i gave her a sword

no regrets

eventually i'll prepare a whole post introducing this project properly, it's gameplay mechanics and some screenshots and concepts, cause it might be the first one i actually finish...

i'm also gonna try to get the game page ready (on devlog-only mode) by my birthday (july 21st) so you all can follow the process of development from there!

i'm excited to keep working on this one, just know that sometimes i take breaks and work on something else for a week or so, it helps me to not get bored of the same project and lose interest in it.
So if you see me suddenly talking about a completely different project, hang in there, it will go away soon!

(seriously, last time i hyperfocused on this one i looked at the color pink for so long my eyes started losing perception of the rest of the RGB spectrum, all i could see was pink...)

Madeline is the main protagonist of the mountain climbing platformer, Celeste. The game has been praised for its visuals, gameplay, and introspective narrative. The game's creator Maddy Thorson confirmed that Madeline is trans in 2020.

It's my birthday!

To celebrate, i've released a devlog-only page for the game i've been secretly working on all year:

Gentleman Rat Studios (@GR-Rob ) describe it as “a little bit Animal Crossing, a little bit Stardew Valley. Maybe even a little bit Windwaker, too."
