Started working on the first branch area in the game, branch areas are essentially just smaller exploration based areas that cross between one major area to another. I'll be completely honest progress has been very slow but I think it serves its right to be slow because the first area is intentionally very miserable. And if I'm miserable making it then that means that I'm doing a good job.
