Starter Game Mechanics

Hello everyone, this is Aether, project leader and programmer of Arcturus, in this dev log I just wanted to go over the mechanics you see in the screenshots that I’ve been working on. The dialogue is pretty self-explanatory, this just allows you to interact with people ingame and see their point of view on the world or annoy them. The sneak system was a harder game mechanic to make and one that I’m still working on, the concept is that while sneaking you can move around people and enemies without being detected. Since this game is also a platformer we obviously need some platforming levels so the way it’s structured is that you might play an open world level, and while you’re exploring you could find a hidden portal that takes you to a puzzle or platforming level, these levels will give you the opportunity to unlock new content, weapons and earn loot, no more grinding for you RPG lovers! Ok I think that does it for this devlog, Naccer Games and I will keep posting them to keep you all updated on the game’s development.

If you have more of an acquired taste, the restaurants in Niravasi have you covered! Maybe skip the salad bar, though.

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!
