Starting Out

DECLENSION Jam project

Getting some progress done on my Jam project, I currently have the movement system in, character sprites and small tileset. I have named the game Declension which basically means to descend into/go lower; which fits where I’m going with the game quite well. I am currently implementing the heads up display, and hope to have all mechanics in and playable areas by the end of today and leave plenty of time for level creation - for thats where I usually go short on in Jams and Comps.

It nicely separates the snowy biome from the grassy one.

It's built with painted Ebonstone.

Hello my space friends! Now I added a space background to the ship. I love that space look but I still feel like stuff is missing. The lighting on the ship needs some improvements I think. Please tell me your opinion!
