I know it has been a while but I wanted to update you on the game progress. I am currently working on what I call "Spring Cleaning"! What does this mean? It means that when I started to work on this project I rushed, cut corners, and made an un organized/optimized mess. So here is the list for my "Spring Cleaning":
Optimization: My current models are littered with polygons which make animating a chore and renders that take forever. It also causes Blender to crash and in a recent instance corrupt one of my files. Thankfully, it was nothing important and I always keep a back up of EVERYTHING! So I am going through the pain staking process of lowering my count of polygons in my models.
Redesign: I love the look of the characters but I feel like they lack expression and overall scare factor. I would like to tweak and add to the current revealed characters ;).
Assets: I would also like to create more assets to have the pizzeria look more "Lived In". As you can tell from promotional pictures and from the Demo the environment is empty. The best example of this is the Arcade where there is not much going on.
Gameplay: Right now there are a few mechanics such as the cameras and the computer console. As the nights go on more and more mechanics will be added. Each character will introduce their own specialized mechanic. Right now there is only a front view of the office. Having around 6 different mechanics this one view will become cluttered so I have a solution. Ever since 2015, yes 2015 the original idea was to use the entire room in the gameplay. So I am bringing this back and it will drastically change the gameplay!
This is everything I will be working on for the Spring Cleaning. Once this is complete the production will ramp up and hopefully I will be able to produce another demo in a reasonable time! Thank you all and have a great day!
