It's a new year and I want to change this post format, instead of posting an update on this project every first day of the month, I want to do it on the last day of the month because it feels confusing to do it this way. Also this year I want to put more time into codding this game because I would rarely do that last year.
But anyways what did I in December? Well, like in the last post, not much. Most of the time I was working on this song for the first boss of the game, which should be out already, and also I felt a bit burned out by working on this, but I think feel better now and I'll try to take some breaks now and then to prevent stuff like this from happening and yeah.
Sprite Art
Sprite art? there wasn't much that I did, but i did give the game's logo a better look and changed the banner.
Here is the full image:

I also made a more detailed version of the game's symbol for the game's banner and maybe other things because i though the little pixel symbol didn't look right for something big like the game's banner. But the old small symbol will still be used in the game and when it appears small (hope this last sentence made sense).

Music
For music, I made 2 new tracks one being a boss theme and the other one being the theme of one of the places in the game, the Rose Grove. The boss theme, Solace, was made for a boss but was also made as a way for me to cope with some things I was going through. I tried my best to express my feeling through this song, making melodies that convey the emotions that I want it to express are really hard for me to make, and I think I did a good job at doing that for this track.
For "The Rose of the Deep Cold Forest", that was made a couple of months ago because I was bored and couldn't make fast pased songs, so I decided to make something calm. And I didn't release it because I thought it would be better to release it during winter time.
Also I really love DM DOKURO's music and those Tubular/Church bells from the touhou soundfont, they sound amazing.
But that's about all I made in December, not much, but I hope I can work better next year and yeah, be back next month, bye!
