Hiya there party pals.
So today we’re going to talk about reviews, and steam greenlight.
So I’ve noticed a clear divide in the market of Steam, gamejolt, rpgmaker.net and youtube.
So, something I’ve noticed in dipping my toe of game development into all of these different platforms to put my game into, is that they all have different opinions on Party 2!
When it comes to gamejolt, the first place I uploaded the game, I immediately received positive reviews, with peoples saying things such as “This game is just hands down amazing” and “can you teach me how to make a game SO AWSOME????” (Found in the comments of the page), and so far the worst rating I’ve received on the game, was 4/5 stars.
So all in all, I’d say the gamejolt community loved the game.
On the side of youtube, the youtubers who’ve played the game have expressed enjoyment of the game, and the comments agree, as seen here, here, here, and here.
So all in all, I’d say the youtube community liked the game.
When it comes to our rpgmaker.net page (did you know we even had that?), the second place I uploaded the game, the rating is straight down the middle, but the comments are all positive! This makes things very confusing, so I’m going to chance it and say that rpgmaker.net was ambivalent about the game.
…in comes the steam community.
On the steam greenlight page, the majority of comments despise the game, stating things such as “Few hours of playing around in RPG Maker… doesn’t make a game.” or “What a feeble attempt at a creepypasta game.”. I’d say the likelihood of Party 2! being greenlit is dismal.
Overall, I’d say the steam community hated the game.
So, with the chances of a greenlight slim, I turn to you, my fans, my party pals.
Please, just take a moment to vote for party 2 to get on steam!
EDIT: On a side note, happy 37th devlog without any comments anniversary!
