So let’s start with apology, since it’s a propper way to begin this.
So first of all i’m sorry for my childish incoincidence, to be more clear i was acting very stupid. I’m sorry if i said anything bad to anyone, and if i ever pissed anyone off with my silly articles and my long hiatus. Now let’s get to the news.
DirectX
So i’ve got a new PC with Windows 8. It’s a beast! I can literally push Game Maker to it’s very limits! But Windows 8 wouldn’t be Windows 8 if it wasn’t so annoying.
I couldn’t bare with it, i had to buy Start8 just to get rid of un-necessary shiz.
SO what makes it so bad? It isn’t bad, it’s the glitches that riddle it. It is very unfriendly for me as a developer, so here’s what happened - I had my and other people games crash very constantly once an .WAV sound file or heavy file was played, it wasn’t just crashing or lag, it was not responding.
So i dug a little bit around the internet and found out something that it’s associated with DirectX and that YoyoGames already took action to report the bug. Let’s get our fingers crossed it will be fixed. I also doubt i’ll be switching to Windows 8.1 since i’ve heard the situation with gaming got worse. And i really love games! I don’t wan’t to spread lies, i don’t know if that’s true or not, but that the problem with Game Maker sound in Windows 8 still persists is a very strong fact, and i have to deal with it. That’s where all the time goes down. I was looking for ways to fix it to continue my development of games and now i just have to stick with external multimedia player and Mp3 files which both makes the game package bigger and the game slower, i’ll see what i can do about that.
