Still hard at work!

Hey folks,

I know a lot of you are VERY excited for the game’s release (I am too), so I thought I’d kinda update you on the state of the game. Personally, I believe that games that have a lot of hype are more mysterious. That’s what gets people excited. I’m basically saying that I don’t want to spoil too much. The game developing process is going well. So far, I’ve gotten three floors done.

But I also have some really good news about these floors. Remember that Devlog for the TRTF5 Unofficial game page I made about certain limitations that will be made with the games? No? Well let me refresh your memory. Basically, I said that I couldn’t have Free roam AND AI on the same floor, so either it would be Free roam, OR AI. Not both. Well now, I’ve figured a way around that. You see, the reason why I couldn’t do both, is because it required so many animations. More animations = more memory usage from clickteam. And more memory usage = black out animations (objects disappear, like the room you’re in, or the jump scare.) Well, me and Zephrysc have been using a new method where you render the images around 65% of their actual size, then scale them up in Clickteam. This means that, yes, the animations will still take up memory, but it will go back down VERY quickly by large amounts.

TLDR, This means that I can incorporate AI and Free-roam in every floor in the Demo! I’ve been waiting for something like this for a long time. And now the games will be a little more interesting! Anyways, that’ll be all. See you guys again soon!

Another house i made long time ago.

Updated the chest in the maze, adding sound, particles and better animation. But what's in the chest?

Back in my art school days I used to ride the 710 COPSA line from Parque Del Plata to Montevideo almost everyday. This is the Marcopolo Viaggio G4 Mercedes Benz model from the late 80s, one of the older bus models that was running on the line.
