Hi folks,
we thought since there wasn’t a post in the last weeks that we should keep you updated.
Basically most of the work is going into the core-mechanics and functionalities for now. That’s why there wasn’t a lot to show. But we can tell: It will be a lot of fun!
New features
Level editor
Instead of generating the endless loop of random enemies, we are designing levels now. This needed us to develop some tools, since writing XML files by hand is very uncomfortable.
Android TV version + game pad support
Not so easy was the creation of a optional control scheme for game pads. And we also worked on Xinput and Android support, since we wanted to play Axeplode on the big screen. And now it works!
Damage types
Elemental damage, like electricity, fire, mud + frost:
Since the players will have new power ups in the game and the game play also needed some variety, we came up with more funny ways to fight the goblins.

As you see, we are working hard in our spare time to get this game done. Our big goal would be to release a demo until Christmas, but everything needs to be balanced, we can’t promise anything.
We saw, that we hit almost the 100 followers. Very happy about that! The great feedback here on Gamejolt is the main reason why we are providing a bigger future for Herrmann and his pigs.
