To start, I'm fairly new to programming, with some experience in Clickteam. However, I want to learn how to use Gamemaker Studio. Despite the significant challenge, I see this as a perfect opportunity to learn programming while making this game. With this in mind, I also plan to simplify STRANGER DANGER greatly. I actually think this would benefit the game compared to its original convoluted form. The gameplay should feel familiar to EarthBound or even Undertale, with some RPG mechanics implemented as well as story-telling techniques. I think having a good inspiration for how the game should look or feel will also greatly benefit the development of the game as well. This does not mean the game will be a copy of either game. This simply means that it might potentially borrow elements from those games to effectively tell the story and provide a worthy gameplay experience for the players. You'll see what I mean later down the line. This should HOPEFULLY make the game easier to finish in a way that I can put my heart and soul into it and see it through to its end. That being said, I hope I can excite you guys as much as I am to be working on this, but I wouldn't get your hopes up until the actual game development process is being made. *SIGNIFICANT game development process, such as walking and collisions. OH! And there are some exciting new concepts for the foes you must face in the game. The carnage-like monster from the original game will be no more. Instead, you will face even more gruesome and disturbing enemies that sometimes do not appear as they seem upon first interaction.
All done. Thank you so much for reading, and I can not wait to share more info once more progress is made.
