(EDIT: There is no Very Easy mode. Whoops. Got rid of that info in the review)
And I'm back with a review, or better a revisit of a game I left to collect dust in the "Very conflicted" section! The game released fully a week or so ago. Following @freddytickleberry 's suggestion to try it again, I booted it up once more. This is an update to the following article: https://gamejolt.com/p/subjective-list-fnaf-world-fan-game-recommendations-my-personal-ssyj59zj
And this time around, I trudged through. This isn't just me playing it. This is someone else asking it too. So I tinkered with it, played it, discovered the characters, the new unlock systems for them (all personalized), the inventory, the crafting system, the challenge route...
So of course you would think that with all these great things, I can only take one route, one possible answer... a promotion! yeah, I'm demoting it.
...
What?

The first demotion :(
Ok, so, back when I left it in Very Conflicted, I noticed the effort that was put, placed it on "Not for me" and moved on with my hippo life.
This is because I saw the effort put and new mechanics just didn't snap with me. But now I went back, with the intent of going forward and surpassing my previous progress.
So... sadly enough, now I also see the lack of effort in some of the aspects. I'll just list them here real quick:
the maps are... boring
. I thought the linear structure would disappear after Area 1, but... no, they really do nothing to make them look better. Area 2 looks really bad in this aspect, with all the empty space
the battles. Why are there weaknesses? Now, when made right, they actually enrichen the game :D! Here they feel like a randomizer. Either they handicap you worse than Burntrap on a wheelchair, or they buff you like you have assumed a modest amount of steroids. Battles feel otherwise close enough to the original. There are some nice changes, like Poppers for instance
the graphics of some things. Why were the chip graphics randomly changed? Why the new shinier move buttons? I guess it's more of a little annoyance more than anything, but it lightly infuriates me
the models. Oh boy. The lighting sucks. The BennetJL models look good if you light them right and animate them right. Here they look... cheap. I can't find a better word for it
the story has a bit of funked up English, but who really cares about that, right? It's not a bad story per se
the self inserts or the just shit posts (like Edwin). There is an atmosphere being made with all the epic music, and then... a PNG crudely edited
and now one of the worst offenders. Very Hard Mode is by all means very hard. Too hard, even. I'd have to level up so much to beat any of the bosses. That's... not fun, really. And I'm speaking as someone who wrote a guide to DIFFICULTY 1000. That was fun because you could skip the grinding sections and just move on with your life with the Unscrews. Here... here you have no Unscrews. Here you have pain. To kill ONE, SINGULAR Gearrat, I had to take so much time. Was it worth it? It didn't feel like it. Now, sure, ok, you put Very Hard mode. I selected Very Hard Mode. I got Very Hard Mode. No big deal, right? But still, the mode is way too hard and grindy for what it should be. Hard is fun, too hard means no fun

So, yeah... these are some of the reasons it gets demoted. Sorry to say this, I don't like demoting games. But actually having played more of it now brought the bad issues to light even more. The main article will also reflect the points here presented and the previous review will be nuked.
