I was gonna push this update out yesterday but then I forgot. Oops. Anyway, happy belated Thursday, everybody!
Boy. November, huh? That was wild. Productive, but wild.
Half of my free time has been spent working on Spice's script -- not much I can show off there, as it's all text and no portrait blocking.
The other half of my time went to cleaning up Sugar's side of the demo -- where I've finally realized why my uni lecturers say "the last 10% of development takes 90% of the time."
Text/portrait fixes, getting CGs to co-operate, slapping together a soundtrack using stock music I already own a license for, and balancing audio levels. So, so much audio balancing.
In addition, there's been some slight adjustments made to older sequences...
...And it's now possible to take Kusaru's advice and admire the view from Sugar Street Station.
The art's a heavy work in progress, but there's plenty of information on the recent apocalypses to be found by clicking around.
I like the idea of doing something similar with Team Spice's cafe window, too, but I don't have any ideas of what that could involve. We'll see.
In any case, as much as I'd hoped to get the demo done by the end of the year I'm probably gonna be taking the next couple of weeks off from the project. December, and all that.
So in case I don't see you before then -- have a wonderful rest of the year, and see you in 2021!
