Super Paxton Palace DevLog No. 4: The Lore Update:

Cutscenes

One of our biggest strengths as a game easily has to be all the work we have put into our story, this is definitely something we've put a lot of time into to make sure we create a story that people will remember. Obviously it being a horror game, we have to try to make it scary and unnerving, but every good game should also have a good message. Without giving away too much, Paxton's is the kind of story that is never truly definitive. You may play the game one time, get a 'jaw-dropper' ending, maybe tamper with the bonus content, and then ultimately leave it be. You could also decide to try to play the game again, but maybe on that second playthrough there's something new you didn't really notice the first time...

Secrets

Being in the late stages of development is a VERY rewarding experience, because all the heavy labor is pretty much over! A lot of the work I've been having to do revolves around me basically playing around with all these model's I've created, which is easily the most fun I've had while working on Paxton's! I can absolutely promise you will get some good looks at all of those once you finish the game! I can also promise you that searching the game for easter eggs is something that could pay off if you are looking in the right places!

The FINAL Trailer (and DevLog?)

I can definitely say this is a very bittersweet announcement for me, as while this game has only really been in development for around 2-3 years now, doing something like this is something I've been wanting to do since I was 9 years old. While this project is a huge personal dream of mine that is finally coming true, it also means it is finally come to an end. Working on this has brought me so much joy and I'm so grateful I chose to work my summer camp job in high school, because without it I wouldn't have had the pleasure of working with Justin, or any of this even happening at all! With all of this in mind, I will no longer be able to post anymore DevLogs, or comment on anything I've been working on until the game is out, because we are simply just too far into development to reveal any more of my recent works. Thank you for your time in reading any updates I've been posting from anywhere, but this will be the last personal comment from me about the game that's not under an official account, because at this rate I will reveal TOO much.

And yes, the last Super Paxton Palace trailer will be out on 12/1/24, and you can find out when we will be releasing the game then.

What's Next?

As we close the book on this game, we hope you can continue to support us as we take on much more daunting and challenging tasks, and if you think you've seen all the scares we are capable of in this game, just know the future is very bright here at Red Lobster Studios!

My Final Send Off

It's been an absolute pleasure working on this game, and I'm forever grateful for the experience and trust I've gained throughout working on this project, both the ups and downs. This certainly isn't the end, but it's the closing of the first chapter, and I know 10 or 20 years from now I'll be looking at the time spent on calls, working out technical issues and creating my first ever video game with the most collaborative partner I could have. So here's to hoping this is the start of something great!
