You are not the hero. You are the monster. The Hive is an underground RTS where you command an insectoid swarm, evolve new creatures, equip them with loot, and carry your surviving army from mission to mission.

Here's the first look of the gameplay, no jumpscares, it's just a preview. With some neat effects! also, with no sound. :)

Migrated the project to URP 2D in Unity 6. Added dynamic lighting to the world and characters, replaced deprecated enemy indicators with sprites and converted all materials to URP, preparing the game for better visuals and atmosphere.
