yknow my video game amigos, up until now i've been developing my game using gms2...
well i've switched that to godot!
In less than a week i've used the built in 2d collision handling to develop better platformer feels than i did in like a month in gms2! and the animations are easy to implement which means that i can add better and more complex animations. Might still not though if i want to add cosmetics.
so hey if i can add collision in 1/4 the time it took me to make it before, imagine how fast everything else is gonna go!
gms2 still holds a special place in my heart but until i can get a better grasp at writing complex code, i think godot is better for this project. One thing i have to say about the scripting is while gms2 is easy to understand, gdscript is just as easy as long as you have at least a bit of programming experiance! I bet its easy even if you don't have expirience, but i can tell it feels more complex than gml..
so yeah lets make some video games!
