The teasers just keep coming, and with good reason; we are inching closer and closer to the release of Sunfire and Moonshadow, and we’ve no shortage of intriguing points of interest to share with you. This week features one of the Bronze Desert’s more mysterious locales: the Katharaka Hills. Once covered in a lush forest that surrounded the long-lost Elven ruins of Vaelenesthil, the land here succumbed to the destruction wrought by the Calamity, leaving it in a rocky, barren state.

Though few dare venture into the hills now, and fewer still seek out the ruins themselves, rumors abound about the strange anomalies that plague the area. Travelers and vagri alike speak of malicious apparitions with eyes of malice that haunt the area, while Imperial cartographers have noted the strange, anomalous weather that besets the place. Will you, dear wanderer, brave the barren lands of the Katharaka Hills? And if you do, what secrets will you uncover?

These questions and others hang in the air as we draw closer to the expansion’s release. Until more can be revealed, as always – stay vigilant, steel yourselves, and conquer the wasteland!
