Hey there. Let me tell you this story that just happened, which I did not expect at all.
More than two years ago, I created this silly little game based on a pre-school cartoon about CGI-animated block characters, where they would jumpscare you and ask you math questions. I was pretty happy with the game at the end.
However, two years later, looking back at the idea of making the game, I realised that this game would almost kill my YouTube channel.
Basically, on October 28th 2020, the creators of the said pre-school cartoon took down nine of my nearly 750 videos for copyright infringement, and for being too unsuitable for children. When I try to go to one of the removed videos via link, I get this message:
"This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Alphablocks Ltd.".
What's even worse is that I got not one, but TWO strikes for this, which is super close to having my channel terminated from YouTube.
So, what should I do about this? Simple. I will stop uploading videos relating to Numberblocks Basics on YouTube, in order to avoid a possible third strike, and I will probably stop posting Numberblocks altogether. I had been involved in so much drama with the community of Numberblocks to the point where I want to disassociate myself with the show, and then out of nowhere, the Numberblocks themselves appear to take down videos relating to the horror game series that got me popular in the first place.
If this gets worse to the point where they take down Numberblocks Basics on my Scratch and GameJolt, I will probably say that I will be moving on from Numberblocks. There has already been so much damage going on with the community and all this copyright going on, to the point where I have to make "The Final Act" the TRUE finale to Numberblocks Basics.
That is all I wanna talk about, relating to the double strike I got on YouTube. See you guys when I publish "Curse of Mikhail", which is probably around late December.
