This post will act as an FAQ for everybody who has any basic questions regarding the game, its plot, its development status, and more.
Q: Will Jolly 4 have an Android port or any type of mobile version?
A: No it will not. We are not going to attempt to ever make this game playable on any type of phone. The only way you will be able to play Jolly 4 is on your computer.
-
Q: What engine is Jolly 4 being created in?
A: Clickteam 2.5
-
Q: Will we ever showcase or released the Unreal Engine Edition of Jolly 4?
A: No, you will only ever see and play the Clickteam version of Jolly 4.
-
Q: What is Jolly 4's current development status?
A: [As of February 2023] Jolly 4 is in relatively early development still, with only the office segment and a few roaming sequences being finished. Although we have been working on the game for over a year, and we have made a TON of progress, we are nowhere close to even being halfway done.
-
Q: When is Jolly 4 estimated to release/What is the release date for Jolly 4?
A: Currently, Jolly 4 is still in early development, so currently there is no chance that a release date is at all in sight. While we do know the day we would like to release the game on, we can guarantee that Jolly 4 WILL NOT release in 2023. Maybe you'll have a better shot in 2024!
-
Q: How many endings are there in Jolly 4?
A: There will be four endings, all completely different from each other.
-
Q: When will there be new teasers?
A: There will not be any more teasers until the start of Wave 2.
-
Q: When will Trailer 1 release? Is it currently being made?
A: Trailer 1 is not currently being made. However, it will release at the start of Wave 2, with the intention of bringing in everything that is to come.
-
Q: What is Wave 2?
A: Wave 2 is the second wave of advertising for Jolly 4. Wave 1 has already occurred, starting with the Announcement Trailer in August 2021. Wave 1 ended after we reached 10,000 followers, and we have been in a hiatus since then. The 20,000 followers post was just a bonus!
-
Q: Has Wave 2 started yet?
A: No, Wave 2 has not started yet. We are currently in a hiatus between Waves 1 & 2. Nevertheless, expect more content this year!
-
Q: When will Wave 2 start?
A: Wave 2 is currently in development, following the progress of the game. While we do have an estimated date in mind for Wave 2 to begin, it is not set in stone and is very much subject to change. Wave 2 will begin when we are finished with it.
-
Q: Will Jolly 4 be following the typical FNaF format?
A: You’ll be following the typical 5-night system with certain free-roam segments and minigames (or sub-sequences, if you will) before and after 12 AM, all depending on your choices throughout the game.
-
Q: Will the nights be under a time limit (EX: 12AM-6AM) or will they stray from the formula?
A: Each night you will have a single segment inside the surveillance office, which will be from 12 - 6, per usual, however, the office segments are only about a fraction of the full game. Everything else that happens in a single night will take however long the player makes it take.
-
Q: Will there be voice acting in Jolly 4?
A: Yes. All of the Goodtimes will have voices, as well as many other characters.
-
Q: Are there more free-roam segments than sit-and-survive segments?
A: Yes, you'll be getting your exercise.
-
Q: How mature is Jolly 4?
A: Because of the dark themes and storyline, as well as the language and the gore-y content, we are considering Jolly 4 a very mature game, likely for ages 16-18+. We know this does not mean anything and you guys will play the game regardless!
-
Q: On a scale of 1-10, how gory is Jolly 4?
A: 7/10, but we can always make it gorier!
-
Q: Does the game take place at the end of the Jolly timeline, or is this a prequel?
A: Jolly 4 takes place at the END of the Jolly timeline.
-
Q: Will Jolly 4 have any Gamejolt achievements or rewards?
A: While there will be "rewards" in the game, as for Gamejolt achievements, there is no definitive answer to that.
-
Q: Who do we play as in Jolly 4?
A: You'll have to wait and see! Who do you think we are?
-
Q: Why was Jolly 4 moved from Unreal Engine back to Clickteam?
A: The team had many concerns that if made in Unreal Engine, Jolly 4 would be too big for the majority of the fanbase to play. Along with a few unexpected roadblocks. For the final game, we want everyone to equally have a chance at being able to experience the game.
-
Q: Will the game be any different now that it is being made in Clickteam?
A: Everything in the game will be the same. Same storyline, same characters, same scenes in the same order, same jumpscares, same plot, same animation, and everything else are exactly the same as it was in Unreal Engine. Absolutely nothing is different aside from the style of player movement. Instead of WASD free roam, you will be playing with point and click free roam, still using the Unreal Engine animations.
-
Q: What are the specs/system requirements for Jolly 4?
A: Because of the current development status of Jolly 4, we don't fucking know! This will be discussed more as we get closer to release.
-
Q: Will Jolly 4 have any updates or DLCs after it releases? And will the game be separated into chapters?
A: No to both. Once Jolly 4 is released, the only updates it will receive are bug fixes, most of which should be cleared up in the first/second week of release. The game's story will be told in one full game, so it is unlikely that there will be a "Jolly 4: Chapter #".
-
Q: Will there be collectibles in Jolly 4?
A: Not in the same way as Security Breach or Baby's Nightmare Circus, but yes, there will be some type of collectible "content" that relates to the plot.
-
Q: Will the Pinagsama be in Jolly 4?
A: No, Red Fantasy Jolly was dismantled & Fantasy Jolly was destroyed.
-
Q: Will Jolly 4 have boss fights like in Security Breach?
A: Absolutely not.
-
Q: How many characters are in Jolly 4?
A: Of the characters you've already seen in the series, there are only 3 unseen characters remaining to be shown in Jolly 4. I'm sure you can do the math.
-
Q: Do the Goodtime animatronics have a soul and/or corpse inside any of them?
A: No. They are normal robots, only controlled by AI and programming.
-
Q: Will there be a Custom Night in Jolly 4?
A: Yes, and the only way to experience the fourth and final ending is by completing Max Mode in Custom Night. This is a very big ending, it closes out the Jolly storyline for good.
-
Q: How many gameplay routes are there in Jolly 4?
A: There are three different gameplay routes, consisting of six full nights each. All three routes are wildly different from each other, with different characters, plot storylines, and gameplay techniques. All of the routes have a completely different ending at the end of Night 6.
-
Q: How long does it take to finish Jolly 4?
A: While this is not definitive, for a player's first playthrough, we estimate that it will take at minimum 4 (or possibly 5-6) hours to finish all three routes in the game, including the max mode in custom night. This is not including the potential hard mode that we may add.
-
Q: Can you beta test or voice act for Jolly 4?
A: No, the majority of our beta testers and voice actors have already been decided, and we would like to stick within the developer community for beta testers, so no fans will be allowed to beta test or work closely with Jolly 4 in any way.
-
Q: Will Jolly 4 have a shop similar to Jollibee's: Phase 2?
A: No, there will not be a shop.
-
Q: Is Jolly 1 still canon to the story?
A: Yes, Jolly 1 is still very much canon. As a matter of fact, the official ending for Jolly 1 is the ending where all of the Fantasy animatronics are dismantled at the end of the game, following Night 7's 5/20 mode.
-
Q: Are Jollibee's & Jollibee's: Phase 2 still canon to the Jolly storyline?
A: No. Everything from the Jollibee's games has been cut out completely. None of it is relevant or canon anymore, forget about it.
-
Q: Will the Fazbear animatronics return in Jolly 4?
A: You tell me. (:
-
Q: Is Springtrap an antagonist in Jolly 4?
A: You'll just have to wait and see. (:
-
