I’ve managed to add better animation sequences to the game for certain scenes. Ren’py does not allow much in terms of programming language for animations but I’ve found ways to make things work. Rapidly changing images and timing them appropriately can create animated effects. The engine itself does have some basic functions that can be used for panning, zooming and moving images.
The work is demanding and difficult, so I’ve reduced a lot of the paths at least for the demo. This way I don’t have to update as much sprites and edit a ton of dialogues. There’s not much new I need to figure out in terms of technique and plot so it’s just a race to the finish from here on.
