Hey everyone! The past month I have been working on some pretty important things to the game which will make things easier going forward. So here's what I've been working on.
Writing and Story
With the beta out of the way, I've started finalizing what the rest of the game will look like in terms of story and structure. While the overall story of The Faztival has remained the same for a long time, there has always been particular parts of the story which I wasn't sure where to fit, but I have moved around some stuff to help with pacing of the game. I think I figured out a good place for important plot points and I'm happier with the final structure for the game now. Next up is to write out final drafts for cutscenes, which I have started and will be one of the next big things I work on.
Combat and Specials
Moving over to the combat in the game, I have been changing some things in the code to make sure battles run smoothly, as well as working on the Special moves in the game. Each of the four classes of cards have their own Special Move which is a powerful move exclusive to their class. When you use a special move, a unique animation will play for each animatronic, which I have had a lot of fun making. Below is a sneak peek at a few!

Figuring out the overall story structure of the game was one of the big things holding me back for a while, so with that now done it's going to be much easier to write out the script going forward. I will hopefully be able to make a lot of progress on it in the next few weeks.
The combat system in the game is also nearly complete, with only a few more moves and additions needed to be made which I will be working on the next while, along side writing cutscenes like I previously mentioned.
