First off, woah! 150 followers already! I guess switching the page to "early access", as well as all of PizzaSmuggler's promotions, really helped to boost the game. Anyway, as you guys probably know I released Part 1 yesterday. However, Part 1 is pretty short considering how long it took to be developed, even with all of the different pathways. So this begs the question: Part 2 when!? Well, the short answer is that I have no idea. There are a few concerns of mine when it comes to releasing more chapters, so I'm not even sure if I'll end up making them.
First off, so much of Part 1 has already been disproved through the new SB trailers and I'm afraid that, once Security Breach finally comes out, all of the predictions within my game and the layout of the mall will no longer make sense. However, I guess I could always go for an alternate universe explanation, so this isn't too much of a problem.
Secondly, it depends on how much support Part 1 has. Is Panic at the Pizza Plex truly something that people love and want more of? Or is it kinda just another mediocre and forgettable fangame?
Finally, if I do decide to make it then will I be able to get a team together? At the moment I've been filling every role in PatPP's production, whether it be finding assets, writing scripts, or actually programming the game. This makes developing the game VERY time consuming. Because of this, it would be nice if I could get a team together to help with stuff like finding/making assets, writing scripts, and just generally brainstorming. That way I could focus more on actually programming the game without having to constantly stop to find a new asset, come up with dialogue, etc.
Now, with that being said, I am very hopeful for the future of Panic at the Pizza Plex. In Part 2, I plan to create a much more DSaF-like experience in which you can freely roam around the mall without restriction and complete different missions that are scattered all around the place. I already have the ability to create something like this, but it will likely take longer to make than Part 1's more linear experience due to the sheer amount of locations to visit and variables that will need to be tracked as you do so, which is why getting a team together is crucial. If you think that you can provide any sort of assistance in the development of this game, let me know and I'll get back to you.
