(Wall of text incoming)
Greetings everyone. Once again, we sincerely apologize for the long gap in updates. But, here is a (rather major) update on what we are currently doing and what the plans for the future are.
We are currently working on another small game (currently) called A Song for the Sunrise, which is intended to use for a game design competition next month (april). So, up until that time, we’ll continue to focus on this game. After the deadline, we will once again return to fully focusing on Cosmic Kites.
Aside from this, we’re currently looking for fundings in order to help us promote the game, support it through its initial release period, etc. Nothing sexy about it, just painstakingly hard work.
Some good news though! We’re ALMOST done with adding Cosmic Kites to Steam, hence you’ll soon be able to add it to your wishlists, share the store page, use the forums, etc. Some minor technicalities left to see to, which’ll hopefully be done in a few weeks time.
So what is left to do on Cosmic Kites? The two main things that needs to be added before release are a tutorial and an options menu. Aside from this, there’s a myriad of smaller things we’d like to implement during the Early Access-period.
So why Early Access?
Mostly because there are a lot we want to do but don’t have the budget for. Aside from this, we’d love to work with the community to develop it in the most appealing direction, as well as taking direct feedback for upcoming features. For example, if we should focus on the bots, more game modes or a more fleshed-out single player mode?
The game is fully playable and loads of fun, so the things we want to improve or add are more content in the shape of diverse power-ups, characters and music tracks, but most importantly to add a lot to customization.
That’s all for now peeps.
‘Til next time!
//Tobias and Alex
