The game version 1.2.0 has just been updated.
Now the game is no longer a packed .exe file, and from now on it’s no longer treated as a virus (which it never was).

Finally, I’ve finished the story of Mewgenics and I can confidently say I love this game just as much as The Binding of Isaac, and I know there’s still a lot to do. Has anyone else played it and has their own opinion?
