The Grindstone...

The Grindstone is cold and still but I’ve returned to it none the less. I dropped the ball with this game and never meant to, but I got to playing games - some of them, well let’s be honest MOST of them, were garbage and time wasters - and distracted by countless other life things.

I was trying to do some of the art for my game but hit a mental roadblock that has halted that part of the project. It’s okay though because I’m pretty sure I can continue making the game and working on the story, then pick up the art again when I can and subsequently change anything in game that I would need to.

I’m pretty sure I said it before, but I’ll say it again, I never meant for this game to grow as much as it has and it quickly became more than I ever imagined. It is a lot more work than I had anticipated, especially for only one person and I think all of that is partly why I was easily distracted - maybe subconsciously I didn’t want to come back to it right away. But now I’m back and I’m going to make this game my number 1 priority (in my free time of course!).

Cheers!

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)

Rockin the Guitar, an Axe like Guitar I made for my Uni project

What do you think?

Why walk when you can jump?

Regular exercise is key for healthy wings.

Try it out!

I did this on my 3DS ^^ #Kirby

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!
