The heroes are fighting the great and nasty Mondo Mole! It seems this might be their first "boss"!

The Sanctuary Guardian

The towering figure of The Mondo Mole stood before the party, waiting for them to make their first move. The adventurers climbed the slope and began throwing all their best shots at the menacing mole. The mole fought back just as hard, using its claws and fangs to tear into its opponents.

After both sides were taking serious blows, the Mondo Mole got lost in the action. Its eyes shook and its claws twitched. He looked at the blood coming from his wounds and mumbled in a shaky voice, "The bitter smell of BLOOD." He gave a terrifying roar, and his eyes shown with a frightening abnormal effect.

Jeffeus became afraid of the Mondo Mole, seeing it was pracitcally paranormal. Vike gave it a stare down, seeing his past in its eyes, but stood brave. The Mondo Mole went crazy, it began attacking more viciously. It became hard to look at it without feeling dread. Cyrus suppressed his feelings (if he had any), and John kept vigilant, not being able to e-{entity.placeholder/text/24}. Vike took many heavy blows and was knocked out, but the others were able to stay fighting.

Eventually, after such a long hard battle, the Mondo Mole was slayed by John's sword, and the heroes could finally rest. They helped Vike back up and entered the tunnel that the Mondo Mole was blocking. Hopefully they can find respite on the other side.

One of Mondo Mole's moves was accidentally buffed. "Giga Bite" was supposed to be a +8 to hit, but I must've typed wrong 'cuz it was actually a +14! (How the heck did I get 14?) Thankfully, most of my players have high ACs, so it wasn't that bad.

Throughout the campaign, I've been using songs from the Earthbound Soundtrack during the sessions. But there were instances where I used a song that's not in the Earthbound Soundtrack. For boss fights, I used remixes. I want to credit the songs that I used during these moments.

For the Mondo Mole fight, I used the Sanctuary Guardian [New Remix], by LUCKYRiCK. When I was browsing through remixes for the Sanctuary Guardian theme, most of them were very spacey or mysterious. This feel would work well for most of the sanctuary guardians, but Mondo Mole felt different. He doesn't feel very magical at all. Instead, he's more of a brute force enemy. This is where LUCKYRiCK's Sanctuary Guardian remix comes in. It doesn't have any magical feel, but instead, is very rooted in normal elements. It even is a little chaotic at times, like how I feel Mondo Mole is, being a ravenous creature.

Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds is the only LoZ game I've played through. (I didn't even finish it.)

(I guess I'm not a big fan of LoZ gameplay. I'm more of a Turn based combat RPG guy.)

#GJAsks: "What's Your Favorite Quote From a Video Game?"

I suppose it's got to be Sans' judgement question from Undertale. It really is an interesting question that doesn't have an easily agreed upon answer. I think yes, people can change.

Congratulations to our "Show Us Your Centum Art" winner, @JotaDev !

Happy #WIPWednesday! Are you working on a game? Making some art? Practicing a song? Something else? Tell us in the comments!

Surprise Birthday I guess!

I always forget that my Spawn Day is today, considering I didn't actually use Game Jolt until September. :P

I once thought, "L is like Sans, just without the jokes."

#GJAsks: "What's An Underrated Classic More People Need To Play?"

One of my favorite Wii games is a niche hidden gem called Elebits. Imagine playing Hide n' Seek with Pikmin, but you have a Gravity Gun. That's what it's like.
