Hello everyone.
I hope all of you have been having a good time. It's been quite some time since my last update, and this one is going to be a big one.
First off, I do have a Discord server, BUT I rarely open it up. I have opened it up for a bit of time, so if you want to join, now is your time.
I want to touch upon a few things with this update: the release date, the scrapped V4 build, and StevenMator's departure.
Announcing a release date was the greatest thing I've done because it got me going on the game and working on it much more than before without a release date. I wish I did this sooner, but I didn't, mainly because I was scared of delaying. As of now, the release date is still February 5th, 2021, but I want to put this out here now. While my target is to get the game out by that date, I don't want to end up like Cyberpunk 2077, where they got too focused on releasing the game and started rushing/cutting features out of the game, which results in a less than stellar game marred with bugs and broken promises. Now, if I can't make that release date, I have selected backup dates.
April 17th, May 18th, and June 19th are the backup dates if I can't reach the primary date.
I will not push the game out the door like how CD Projekt Red did with Cyberpunk 2077 because this is my last game, and I want it to go out with a banger, not a whimper.
I want to talk about the scrapped V4 build of the game in development shortly after releasing the Fangames at Freddy's trailer. I will be honest, and there was a V4, but as time went on, it ultimately fell apart because it just was more of a headache and, most of all, wasn't needed. V4 was a retooled V3 with being ported to Blender Eevee with the help of @NeeTroo and @Ramennov. I wanted to improve the graphics like there are great, but I wanted them better but trying to port them was a nightmare, and it was unneeded because it would only waste time and cause more problems than needed. But the primary goal of V4 was to redo the graphics to make things more aged and give it more special effects that Eevee offers, but while a cool idea, the game didn't need it. It tried to solve problems that didn't exist, but it did lead to a V3.5 with a lot of under the hood changes with coding and renders. I have provided some of the V4 upgrades concept arts. https://twitter.com/ScrubbyScribby/status/1339851071938695168
Some of you may know @StevenMator hasn't been apart of the project for some time now, which has led to me being the only developer of the game now. While nothing wrong happened between us or the game, and we're still very close friends, a lot is going on in his life, and he should focus on that instead of the game. I cannot thank @StevenMator enough for what he has done, but I am incredibly grateful for everything he has done for me.
Another interview is coming for me; this time, I am getting interviewed by @BlessOJuicy ( https://www.twitch.tv/blessojuicy ) on Twitch at 7 PM PST time on Saturday. You can ask questions here for him to prep or ask questions there when the stream is going.
I apologize if there are typos and stuff, it's late, and I want to sleep, but I promised this.
Until next time <3
