She is called STORM for a reason :)
The first time you active her hyper, it starts to rain, which lasts the entire level. If its raining, she will summon a tornado next time and will refill her MP a tad in every special move.

Mae Borowski is the main character of Night in the Woods! It's an adventure game that tells the story of her return to her hometown of Possum Springs. She was confirmed as canonically pan in a social media post by the game's creator Scott Benson.
