As of today, The Return to Sonic's update has been officially canned, I no longer want to continue this games development. Now, before I explain exactly why it is canned, I do want to let you readers know to stick forward to the end, as I will be announcing something very important and special to me.

Explanation and Reflection

It is no secret that The Return to Sonic's v2.0 has been on a very rocky road in terms of development. While I had very good ideas and concepts for the update (that I could most definitely code myself), my loss of motivation did not just come from the development problems me and my friends had to face.

In reality, the Five Nights at Sonic's Community is a very tiring and awful place for me. A few years ago was a big turning point for FNAS fans as the situation regarding SmilerFurcifer had started to spread. many people, including me, who were friends and worked with Smiler, felt a large mix of relief, but also betrayal. Not just from what Smiler did, but from what the community had turned into after that experience.

Following that there was a scuffle between me and someone that asked not to be included. In between that situation, I was approached by a FNAS fan that had threatened to leak my information for making the bold claim I did. Obviously, I didn't believe them at first, but then he actually showed me he had my address so I started to panic.

Now, I want to say that both of those situations have been resolved privately, and that I hold no malice to these people, and that the person who doxxed me is NOT affiliated with the previously mentioned or any other people, it was a spontaneous moment that I did not share publicly due to the original fear of having my information leaked.

Ever since then, I have seen many horrible and disgusting things happen in the fandom, and that has made my motivation spike to an all-time low. I felt like this game was chaining me down. I had all these amazing ideas but now they felt like I was wasting my time developing a game people would just shrug off as nothing, even down to the characters now felt so frustrating to me. I remember a point in time where I wanted this game to feel like a way for me to express myself, rather than just be the joke newspaper game that I originally made it. I also ended up watching a lot of close friends do really stupid things which has forced me to throw away large portions of content that used to make me believe I finally had everything sorted out.

(everyone I know also just has a very big distain for this franchise so you could imagine the amount of comments I've heard and the friends I've lost.)

I realize now that cancelling this game is the most healthy thing for me to do. There is a lot more I could be doing that would make me feel happy for once, and this community is just not it, sorry.

Special Announcement

-- Where do I go from here?

I have been in the fnaf fangame community for a long time now, and I think that my skills and thoughts have evolved in a way that makes me realize that I will eventually get tired of the genre, and I will inevitably drop fangames entirely to make original stuff.

-- So you're done with making fangames?

No, at least not yet. I have been thinking, asking around from friends who've known me for a long time, and I think that I will make it fair to you guys, and to me to not waste the ideas I've conjured up throughout these years.

So I will say now that, from now on, expect three final FNAF fangames from me, all with different caters to my favorite fangames, and with different, experimental ideas that might interest you all.

I'm calling this collection the Final FNAF Fever, and it will only end once the final third fangame has been released.

The first entry will be announced soon, I am in the process of starting its development, but I am sure that longtime fans of me might be interested in it.
