The Scratch Team has just recently updated their Terms of Service yesterday, letting you know they now have full permission to use your content to train AI models.

Knowing that the Scratch Team were supposedly “responsible” adults, I thought they would recognize the real-world issues within that technology.

And ahhhhh well, shoot, just when we all thought they scrapped it, they kind of contradicted themselves by releasing this blog here, which is just as bad as I expected it to be.

It's honestly cute how they had the audacity to call artificial intelligence a "creative tool" when it has already been proven it is NOT a tool. It just does what you tell it to do; the same way you order a sandwich at a Subway restaurant, and you don't do anything.

I mean, come on. It's called artificial for a reason. There really shouldn't be an explanation on how this will detrimentally undermine natural creative mediums.

And having free AI access to children is also a lot scarier. This will only be going to discourage them from creating any real artwork because they're going to grow up using this technology to produce slop (another issue within the technology, too) and they'll probably end up complaining about how art is "too hard" or "takes too much time" as they get older.

That is so freaking sad.

I also have a feeling they also got AI to write out this blog post for them. I can tell by the word choices and patterns they use.

As you can tell, this is not looking good. We have issues where people abuse this technology to spit out slop in terms of videos, writing, images, and even coding because of how nonsensical it feels.

Not gonna rephrase on how to truly use AI responsibly because I already said it on my other article post about Microsoft.

I'm quite proud to be born in the mid 2000s because when I was in elementary school, I loved to draw and color. I made a really good roadrunner drawing from Loony Tunes in 4th grade and my teacher was impressed. Those were the great moments of my life.

What's also impressive is how AI was only roughly 4 years old since the launch of ChatGPT in late 2022, and it caused this much damage to the online world.

Well, time to utilize more natural intelligence than artificial intelligence.

Rare W of Microsoft.

Watermarks is something I always do and encourage. Even if I post some AI images here before, I do that very rarely.

I just recently discovered MistWarp, which is a fork of TurboWarp that really has very good amount of additional options and customization.

UI changes is something I always wanted because I grew tired of Scratch's vanilla UI designs.

Also yeah, new scene.

This is just embarrassing. Only 2 or maybe 3 brand new IPs by the 9th generation and then this.

Good thing I got my PS5 Pro over a year ago, and considering how careful I am with my devices, it can last years or even decades.

ok i FINALLY finished dropsane teto

i think i still got it

That's cute, but do you feel the need to go out of your way to commit this much towards AI?

Another issue is that Copilot 365 hallucinates more than the main Copilot, so it's not that reliable.

I'm still patiently waiting this obsession to stop.

Yo Codin House Office

Really glad changes like this are rolling out.

Opening Microsoft Word now has this new...banner...

Really shows how they love AI this much; they still believe it's a "foundational" technology and it positively impacts the world.

I need @Danyo_ to send an assassin to teach them a lesson or something.

Jarvis, write a full essay in MLA-8 format indented to the left please

I really hope this person is aware of what Nintendo will do to anyone who makes fan projects like this.

There's a big reason why I never included any Nintendo-related references or even sounds in any of my games.
