The Soundtrack

As the title suggests, I’ve been working on a soundtrack for the game. Max’s footsteps are great and all, but listening to only those three randomly-selected sounds can get a bit degrading when play-testing a level over and over again. In response to this issue, I have experimented with a few simple tunes that play during the levels. I’m clearly not a musician, but the short songs have served the game experience well so far. My current favorites are “Plucking Bones III” and “Song of the Fungus Tribe II”. Take a listen and tell me what you think!

Note: If you wish to download these songs for use in your own levels, keep in mind that the game only supports .wav files, so you’ll have to convert the .mp3 files into .wav files before using them in your custom maps.

Max's temple is getting spookier... I’ve been working on a spooky library maze in the temple, here’s a little peak at it. See video footage at https://twitter.com/SiliconOdysseys/status/923076735419129856
